Mba Ngozi Jessica is an accomplished economist and regulatory professional with extensive experience in Nigeria’s electricity distribution sector. She joined EEDC in May 2014 as a Regulatory Officer, where she was responsible for the daily production of district-wide MIS collection reports, submission of monthly regulatory returns to the Commission, and management of non-compliance issues escalated to regulatory authorities.

Through demonstrated competence and dedication, she rose through the ranks and now serves as Head of Regulatory Affairs. In this role, Jessica provides strategic oversight to ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, industry regulations, and statutory standards. She drives regulatory excellence through professionalism, diligence, and proactive engagement with oversight bodies.

Jessica plays a critical role in maintaining safe and compliant operations, strengthening institutional credibility, and upholding First Power Electricity Distribution Company Limited’s commitment to operational excellence. With deep expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments, she leads regulatory submissions and approvals while managing ongoing engagements with regulatory authorities across relevant jurisdictions.

She works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, effective operational processes that enhance compliance and performance.

Jessica holds a Master’s degree in Education Management from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) and is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing (NIMN). She has completed several professional development programs, including courses in Customer Service, Electricity Markets, Tariff Rates, and Power Sector Regulations facilitated by the Commission.
